Hi @ericrosenbaum @bernat and @duks,
My name is Sonya Horton and I develop content and resources for the open-source CREATE Education project in the UK. The aim of our project is to support educators in introducing and embedding 3D printing technology throughout the curriculum by proving free resources and support through our community website.
I am also a teacher of Primary Computing (and High School Technology in the past). I have literally just come across Beetle Blocks this week and I am hooked. One of the barriers to 3D printing in schools is the complexity of the CAD software and Beetle Blocks overcomes so many barriers. It also links brilliantly to teaching Maths and Computing and the familiar Scratch interface makes it really easy for students familiar in Scratch to use immediately.
I am currently writing a number of resources including an "Algorithm Art" project and a guide to "3D printing in the Computing Curriculum". I would like to include and reference Beetle Blocks in these resources and also possibly write a blog post for our website about it. Would it be possible to grant me permission to include the Beetle Blocks logo in the resources and screenshots of the interface, example programs etc? Of course full credit will be given to Beetle Blocks along with links back to the website. I would also gladly share links to the finished resources with the Beetle Blocks community via this forum.
Keep up the amazing development work and I hope to hear back from you soon.
